Plaza Premium Lounge has reopened at Langkawi International Airport in a new location, offering travellers an enhanced space to eat, work, rest.
Now located landside, the lounge is accessible to both arriving and departing passengers and remains the only lounge at the airport.
The refreshed space features 63 seats, expanded capacity and a private dining area.
Designed for comfort and convenience, the lounge provides a welcoming space to eat, rest, relax, recharge, and work, with a range of amenities tailored to meet the needs of both leisure and business travellers.

The reopening reflects Plaza Premium Group’s (PPG’s) continued investment in Malaysia, where it operates a network of airport hospitality services across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru and Langkawi.
The Langkawi lounge is part of PPG’s broader push to integrate local identity into its spaces. Under its global “Proudly Local” campaign, each lounge is positioned as an extension of its destination, incorporating local culture, food and design.
At Langkawi, this includes a signature dish, the spicy chicken Langkawi luxe with trio sambal, inspired by the island’s rich culinary heritage and infused with contemporary flair.
The lounge also features collaborations with The People Art Gallery, bringing in works by local artists to reflect the island’s creative scene.
“This relocation marks a new chapter for Plaza Premium Lounge in Langkawi. While the space has been transformed, our heart and soul remain the same, dedicated to making travel better by combining world-class hospitality with a strong sense of place,” said Cavin Loh, regional general manager of PPG.
The initiative sits alongside PPG’s “Your Destination Before Departure” campaign, which has been rolled out across 21 cities, positioning lounges as part of the travel experience rather than just a waiting area.

Access to the Langkawi lounge starts from RM118 ($38) for a one-hour stay. In conjunction with the opening, PPG is offering a limited-time promotion where guests receive a complimentary companion access with each purchase until June 7, 2026.
Founded in 1998, PPG operates across 150 countries and more than 600 international and domestic airports, serving millions of passengers annually through a portfolio of airport hospitality brands.
