Hyatt has introduced The Unbound Collection in Thailand — with The Barai Hua Hin beachfront wellness resort, located along Hua Hin’s historic Khao Takiap coastline.

First opened as a spa two decades ago, it has been expanded into a boutique resort with 98 guest rooms and suites, including 27 suites and a pair of two-bedroom penthouses.

Private balconies, soaking tubs and rainforest showers feature across the resort. Selected suites come with butler service, terraces, in-suite wellness rituals and daily massage treatments.

Designed by Thai architect Lek Mathar Bunnag, the property draws on the elements of water, fire, earth and air.

Shaded walkways, courtyards, water features and sculptural forms are used throughout the grounds to create quieter spaces for rest and reflection.

The Barai Hua Hin also has two swimming pools — one sits within a shaded, lagoon-like setting, while the other overlooks the Gulf of Thailand.

At the centre of the resort is The Barai Spa, with pools, courtyards and stone passageways.

Meanwhile, a two-storey Wellness Hub includes a 24-hour fitness studio, yoga studio, holistic therapy spaces, and wellness shop. Programmes focus on areas such as sleep recovery, longevity, emotional wellbeing and women's health.

As for dining options, The Barai Hua Hin has two restaurants.

White Cottage takes inspiration from the seaside holiday homes once used by Siamese nobility. It serves seafood, plant-forward dishes and Thai-inspired cuisine.

McFarland House, which occupies a restored 19th-century beachfront pavilion, serves European cuisine alongside afternoon tea.
