Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of global hospitality group Accor, is set to open Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere in North West England on July 10.
This marks the fourth Fairmont property in the UK, joining The Savoy, Fairmont Windsor Park in the greater London area, and Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland.
Sitting on a 157-acre plot in the Cheshire countryside with views of The Mere Lake, the 116-key hotel features 23 spacious suites, an 18-hole championship golf course, a spa and a gym.

F&B options include Gordon Ramsay at The Mere, a restaurant by the celebrity chef offering a British-inspired menu; afternoon tea and champagne served at The Orangery; and classic British and Indian cuisine at The Club Lounge.
Previously known as The Mere Golf Resort & Spa, the property was acquired by Dubai-based property developer and hospitality investor Select Group in 2022 for GBP35 million ($60.3 million). The group also spent an additional GBP90 million on a comprehensive transformation of the site, in partnership with Accor.
“Our ambition from the outset was to create something that would set a new standard for luxury hospitality in the North West England,” says Israr Liaqat, group CEO of Select Group.
The hotel is also being positioned as an event venue. It will feature a 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft) ballroom that can accommodate 1,000 guests, alongside four boardrooms with landscaped views.
