JLL introduces APAC leadership changes to Hotels and Hospitality Group

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - JLL’s Hotels and Hospitality Group announced a series of changes to the Asia Pacific leadership team, effective June 9.

Mike Batchelor, currently the CEO of JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group, Asia, will expand his role to cover Asia Pacific. He will oversee a team of 80 people in seven countries and territories, including Australia, and provide clients with access to the Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands hospitality markets.

In Australia, Craig Collins will be leaving his role as CEO of Australasia, and Peter Harper will assume the role of managing director, head of investment sales Australasia.

Nihat Ercan, currently the head of investments sales for JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group, Asia, will also expand his role to cover Asia Pacific. He will partner closely with the Australasia investment sales team to provide enhanced access to capital sources in Asia to expand their investment portfolios internationally.

Xander Nijnens, head of advisory and asset management, Asia, will take on the responsibility of asset management across Asia Pacific.



The leadership changes follow a record year of investment volumes for JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group in Asia Pacific. CEO Batchelor also recognises that the industry is going through “one of the most challenging periods the hotel sector has ever experienced” and reiterates the importance of providing timely and accurate advice across markets in Asia Pacific.

JLL is a leading professional services firm that specialises in real estate and investment management. It has an annual revenue of $18 billion and operates in over 80 countries as of March 31.
