SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Lendlease has appointed Hui Ding as its managing director of China. He joins the Asia leadership team and reports directly to Tony Lombardo, CEO, Asia.

Ding, based in Shanghai, will oversee the growth of the firm’s business in China. This will include Ardor Gardens, Lendlease's flagship senior living development in Qingpu district, Shanghai.

Ding has over 25 years of industry experience in real estate, financial management and general management. Most recently, he was managing director of Ikea Centres China since August 2008, where he oversaw the group’s expansion, investments, development, leasing and operations in the country.

Prior to joining Ikea, Ding’s career spanned across several multinational corporations in China like PepsiCo Food China, American Standard China and Philips Lighting.

“China is an important market for our growth and we are delighted to have Ding onboard to lead and strengthen our in-market engagements. Ding’s wealth of experience and industry expertise will be instrumental in advancing our growth strategy,” says Lombardo.
