SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Lendlease is rolling out Covid-19 relief support to communities in Singapore, China, Japan and Malaysia.
In Singapore, Lendlease is supporting the Community Foundation of Singapore and partnering local community organisations such as the Tembusu Senior Activity Centre with South East Community Development Centre (CDC) and Geylang Serai Community Club located in the Paya Lebar precinct. It has raised about $14,888 in support of The Sayang Sayang Fund established by the Community Foundation of Singapore for frontline healthcare workers and vulnerable communities.
In China, it has raised $50,000 for a local not-for-profit organisation called NPI to support community relief efforts in the Qingpu area in Shanghai, where Lendlease’s senior living project Ardor Gardens is situated.
In Japan, the company will donate over $13,000 to fund the procurement and distribution of Covid-19 relief packs, supplying anti-bacterial goods, hygiene masks, disposable gloves and aprons, as well as cleaning equipment for temporary accommodations.
Finally, Lendlease Malaysia donated hand sanitisers to frontline police officers in Kuala Lumpur enforcing the Movement Control Order, and provided food and beverage products to healthcare workers at Hospital Kuala Lumpur. It also donated 2,000 pairs of surgical gloves, blood pressure monitors and infrared thermoscan thermometers to local hospitals.
“In the face of what the World Health Organisation has now declared a pandemic, we are committed to banding together with our community partners to build societal resilience and emerge stronger than ever through these challenging times,” comments Tony Lombardo, Lendlease’s CEO, Asia.
