The National Arts Council (NAC) has signed a three-year MOU with real estate developer UOL Group and the latter’s subsidiary Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) to integrate the arts more deeply into Singapore’s commercial and hospitality spaces.
This means visitors, hotel guests and shoppers will be able to access more arts experiences — ranging from curated artworks and performances to public programmes integrated into shared spaces — in everyday spaces across properties in the UOL and PPHG portfolio, according to a joint media release by the three organisations.
PPHG concierge teams will also receive training to better connect hotel guests with arts experiences across Singapore, helping visitors discover the city through its arts offerings.

The partnership is centred on three key areas: strengthening support for the arts in Singapore, creating new opportunities for local artists including artists with disabilities, and introducing arts experiences across UOL and PPHG properties.
Both companies will provide venues, hospitality support and specially rated accommodation for visiting artists and guests, to support key national arts events such as Singapore Art Week, the Singapore International Festival of the Arts and the Singapore Writers Festival.
Moreover, local artists can present their work to wider audiences through exhibitions, performances and literary showcases at UOL and PPHG properties. Initiatives may include live performances in commercial spaces, curated exhibitions, and Singapore literature titles featured in hotel rooms.
For artists with disabilities, the partnership will also expand opportunities through the group’s inclusion platforms — including the biennial UOL x ART:DIS Art Prize and the “More Art. Made Inclusive.” exhibition. Artists with disabilities can also showcase and sell their works at Parkroyal on Beach Road.
These initiatives complement UOL’s existing art showcases and art jamming sessions at United Square mall along Thomson Road. Through workshops led by artists with disabilities, shoppers can learn art techniques.
UOL chief executive Liam Wee Sin said the aim of the partnership is to make arts experiences more accessible and immersive. “We believe that the arts have an important role to play in shaping inclusive communities and enlivening everyday spaces in Singapore,” he added.
Meanwhile, a public space within UOL’s upcoming NoMad hotel will serve as a venue for performances, community programmes and inclusive arts activities in the heart of Orchard Road. The hotel will also feature bespoke works by local artists.
Slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, the 173-room luxury NoMad hotel is situated at the former Faber House site and will be managed by Hilton.
Wee Wei Ling, PPHG executive director for sustainability partnerships, lifestyle and asset, said the partnership builds on the group’s collaboration with NAC over the past years. “We hope to further broaden community engagement with the arts and bring greater visibility to local artists,” she added.
The MOU is part of NAC’s efforts to collaborate with corporate partners to provide sustained and structured support for the arts, complementing existing initiatives such as the Cultural Matching Fund, Sustain the Arts Fund, and the Patron of the Arts Awards.
Elaine Ng, NAC chief executive, said the partnership with UOL and PPHG reflects the important role the private sector can play in growing a vibrant arts scene in Singapore. “Together, we bring the arts closer to everyday life and to everyone, while creating new opportunities for our artists,” she noted.
The parties inked the MOU in conjunction with the International Society of Performing Arts (ISPA) 2026 Singapore Congress, which brought together more than 400 global performing arts leaders. PPHG is the official hospitality partner for ISPA 2026.
