Singapore infrastructure and civil engineering firm OKP Holdings has secured a contract worth $87.3 million from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) for commuter infrastructure works around upcoming stations on the Jurong Region Line. The 60-month contract commenced on Feb 27.
Under this contract, OKP’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Or Kim Peow Contractors, will design and construct covered linkways around the stations, along with new cycling paths and footpaths.
The contract also includes roadworks in conjunction with the covered linkway works, along with associated works such as the reconstruction, modification or reinstatement of affected infrastructure, including walls, drains and street furniture.

“While the new MRT line will reduce travel times and improve convenience, the surrounding infrastructure is also crucial in ensuring a seamless commuting experience,” says Or Toh Wat, group managing director of OKP.
This is the latest contract the LTA has awarded to OKP. Before this, LTA had awarded four contracts amounting to $617.8 million to OKP's subsidiaries for the construction of new cycling path networks across Singapore.
The latest contract brings OKP’s net construction order book to $627.2 million, with contracts extending until 2031.
