For the Project Excellence Awards for Central area, the winners at the Inaugural EdgeProp Excellence Awards 2017 were City Developments Ltd’s (CDL’s) Gramercy Park and GuocoLand’s Leedon Residence.

The freehold Gramercy Park on Grange Road was designed by internationally renowned American architectural firm NBBJ as two curvilinear towers containing 87 units each.

“In land-scarce Singapore, Gramercy Park stands out as a rare, freehold property with spacious apartments in the prime District 10 area, one of Singapore’s most desired and prestigious neighbourhoods and a short stroll from the Orchard Road shopping belt,” says Sherman Kwek, CEO designate at CDL in an email response on winning the award.

The 381-unit Leedon Residence designed by acclaimed architect Chan Soo Khian of SCDA Architects stood out as “a great product,” according to Tan Tiong Cheng, president of Knight Frank Asia Pacific, who was one of the judges for the awards. “The project was very well executed in terms of layout, the landscape and the focus on the luxury of space.”

GuocoLand Singapore’s group managing director Cheng Hsing Yao received the award for Leedon Residence.
