The much-anticipated private preview of Rivière by Frasers Property drew about 450 groups or about 1,000 people to its sales gallery on Zion Road over the weekend of May 25-26.

A new mixed-use development, Rivière will have two luxury residential towers with 455 units, and a low-rise four-storey development containing 80 serviced apartments adjacent to three historic, 100-year-old warehouses that will be conserved and restored. One of the warehouses will be converted into the lobby and reception area of the serviced apartments. The other two warehouses will contain communal facilities for both residents and guests of the serviced apartments to enjoy, F&B outlets, and a gourmet or specialist supermarket.

Located on Jiak Kim Street, the site is where the Zouk nightclub, one of the most enduring nightclubs in Singapore, had been located for 26 years before it moved to Clarke Quay. Zouk was ranked fourth among the Top 100 Clubs in the World in 2017 by DJ Mag.

The site therefore attracted 10 bids from developers when it was launched for sale. Frasers Property won the site in December 2017 with a top bid of $955.4 million.

The new development is designed by Chan Soo Khian, principal of SCDA Architects, notable for his designs of luxury projects in Singapore, such as The Ladyhill, The Marq on Paterson Hill, Leedon Residence and Nassim Park Residences.

Rivière is located alomg a 300m riverbend. As such, every unit withn the twin 37-storey residential towers are assured of unobstructed views of the historic Singapore River.

Frasers Property has indicated that units will be priced from $2,580 psf, and the project will be officially launched in July.
