From August 1, Loh Lik Peng, founder and director of Unlisted Collection, will be appointed chairman of the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Board. Loh has served on the SLA board since August 2017 and was appointed deputy chairman in August 2020.
An entrepreneur known for pioneering the conversion of conservation shophouses into boutique hotels, Loh began this trend over two decades ago with Hotel 1929 on Keong Saik Road, followed by the New Majestic Hotel at Bukit Pasoh in Chinatown and Wanderlust at Dickson Road in Little India. Although he has since divested his hotel assets in Singapore, Unlisted Collection today operates a portfolio of restaurants in Singapore and Shanghai, as well as hotels and restaurants in London, Dublin, Wicklow, and Cork County in Ireland.
Yeoh Oon Jin, former executive chairman of PwC Singapore, will step down as SLA board chairman on July 31. Yeoh has served on the board since August 2016.

During his tenure, Yeoh championed the adaptive reuse of state properties for social and community purposes, including the rejuvenation of heritage buildings such as the Former St Andrew’s Mission Hospital into vibrant community and lifestyle clusters.
Under his guidance, SLA was also elected co-chair of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management and implemented the refreshed National Geospatial Masterplan to drive a geo-enabled Singapore.
He also played a pivotal role in advancing the development of the Digital Conveyancing Portal, transforming the manual, paper-based conveyancing process into a streamlined, fully digitalised system.
