WeWork, the New York-based co-working space giant, has opened its regional flagship space - its largest in Southeast Asia - in Singapore, at 71 Robinson Road.

The co-working space operator will occupy three floors in the 15-storey office building, catering 1,400 seats for entrepreneurs and businesses to work in. This is the second office space the company operates in Singapore. In January, WeWork launched its first co-working space at Beach Centre on Beach Road,  occupying the first three floors and spanning more than 690 desks.

At 71 Robinson, WeWork has leased approximately 64,583 sq ft of space from its landlord, Germany-based Commerz Real AG, which provides investment and asset management services. The co-working space there features floor-to-ceiling windows and a central staircase connecting members on the three floors. Amenities include beer and microbrew coffee on tap, meeting rooms of various sizes, game rooms, and a nursing room.

Following this, WeWork’s third office space in Singapore will occupy 40,000 sq ft across two floors of Funan’s North Office block, accommodating more than 700 desks. The upcoming mixed-use Funan development is slated for completion in 2019.

WeWork now provides for more than 248,000 members globally, in 74 cities and 22 countries.
