Wing Tai was awarded the 100,009 sq ft government land sale (GLS) site last year when it submitted the winning bid of $464 million, which translates to a land rate of $1,325 psf per plot ratio (ppr).
Another GLS site, also along River Valley Green, was awarded to GuocoLand when it submitted the winning bid of $627.84 million ($1,420 psf ppr) for the 126,326 sq ft plot. That plot could be developed into a 475-unit project with commercial space on the first level.
Future residents of River Green will enjoy 48 amenities, including a 50-metre lap pool, a tennis court, three function rooms, a gym and fitness studio, a co-working space, and a Sky Loft on the 37th floor. There is also underground parking with 265 lots comprising 20 EV charging lots, 40 EV-ready lots and three accessible lots. Last-mile facilities include 150 bicycle lots.
Planned features include a sheltered walkway to Great World MRT Station, which is connected to the nearby Great World shopping mall. The MRT station is also one stop from Orchard MRT Station. The development is also conveniently located near several lifestyle hubs along the Singapore River, including Robertson Quay, Clarke Quay and Boat Quay.
Schools within 2km of River Green comprise River Valley Primary School, Alexandra Primary School, Zhangde Primary School, Anglo-Chinese School (Junior), and St Margaret’s Primary School.
River Green will be Singapore’s first residential development to achieve the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum (Super Low Energy) certification with all five sustainability badges: health and wellbeing, whole-life carbon, maintainability, resilience and intelligence. The design of the condo also adheres to the principles of universal design, for example, resting areas fitted with seats of various heights, barrier-free routes, and a universal pool entrance accessible for wheelchair users.
