"Visited One North Residences last weekend, very quiet. The layout for 2 bedrooms are very nice, as it comes with landscaping view in the living room. The only key concern is the bay window."

"This is not a 'typical' Condo layout with a gated / private compound. The condo is split into 2 blocks and the common areas are literally common. It feels more like a up-class campus/dormitory area, and all the ground floor units have their front door facing the public areas. Nonetheless, as resident here for the past few years, I have not heard of any serious security issues. No rowdy crowds or dodgy guys lurking in the shadows. Mommies & Kids should feel safe here (mine does). Given the locale, the entire one-North district is very 'brainy' with 2 Biz schools and countless high-tech / bio-science firms nearby. UWC , Tanglin Trust and several famous schools are also nearby. There are 2 stations (Buona Vista & One North) all within walking distance, and if you enjoy cycling, this place is very cycle friendly. Me and my family cycle around the vicinity for food (Ghim Moh, Star Vista, Holland V, Queenstown , Portsdown etc). At night, the place is super quiet and is probably one of the rare few estates where u can actually hear crickets and there's also plenty of greenery. In terms of facilities, it is quite basic: swimming pool, gym , BBQ and function room. I usually do my lap training on the decent length pool here. The condo is very popular with expat families (lots of Japanese and Caucasians). As rental is not cheap here, your neighbors tend to be of a upper-class mix. Very discrete and polite. I have personally never had issues with loud noises from neighbors at night...except for 1-2 over-bearing local residents who insist kids cannot play ball in the common courtyard (day or night). Given the relatively low units in this project, i think the monthly fee is on the high side. If you are the modern and open-minded lifestyle oriented type, this place is quite a good choice."
