In addition to a myriad of amenities including hospitals, parks, schools and transport options, the region is also home to a few tourist attractions such as Pulau Ubin and Coney Island. Seletar Aerospace Park, which comprises of several aviation manufacturing and research facilities by companies such Rolls-Royce and Singapore Technologies Aerospace, provide employment opportunities to residents both within and beyond the region. Sengkang General Hospital, a 1000-bed hospital, is the largest in the region and is built to further the government's efforts to provide quality and accessible healthcare to all Singaporeans.

"Completed in 2012 and developed by I Development Pte Ltd, this condominium is located in the Kovan subzone of Hougang, located within walking distance to The Girls' Brigade, Masjid Haji Yusoff, Hillside World Academy, Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Serangoon Stadium, Victory Baptist Church as well as Serangoon Swimming Complex. The nearest MRT station is Kovan MRT station on the North East MRT line, operated by SBS Transit and the nearest bus stop is opposite the Serangoon Swimming Complex along Yio Chu Kang Road for bus service 136 between Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange and Punggol Bus Interchange, operated by Go-Ahead Singapore."
