Hilton unveils first property in Northern Thailand with Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton

Global hotel operator Hilton will debut its first property in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand under the Curio Collection brand on July 1.
Known as Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton, the opening marks Hilton’s broadening expansion into Southeast Asia.
Situated along Mae Kok River, the 167-key hotel comprises 166 deluxe rooms and suites, as well as a 225 sq m (2,422 sq ft) two-bedroom Kahavadi Family Suite. All rooms overlook the hotel’s gardens and pools, with some offering partial views of Mae Kok River.

Designed as a modern take on the historic Lanna merchant houses that used to line Northern Thailand’s waterfront, the hotel features classic moldings, rattan furnishings and timber shutters set against a soft white-toned palette. Works by Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai-based artists are showcased throughout the property.

Facilities include outdoor pools, a fitness center, and an eForea spa where treatments draw on authentic Northern Thai healing traditions such as Tok Sen – an ancient therapeutic technique using rhythmic wooden tapping to relieve muscular tension and promote circulation.
The hotel also features an all-day dining venue, Larderley; a riverside restaurant Tasabiang as well as a hotel lounge and bar called The Ledger.
