SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - A freehold conservation shophouse at 76 Syed Alwi Road in District 8 is up for sale via an expression of interest (EOI) exercise.
The property, which occupies a land area of 2,709 sq ft that is zoned for commercial use, has a guide price of $16 million, according to Vijayakumar of Prop-Today Investments and June Ong of Singapore Realtors Inc (SRI) who are jointly marketing the property. The two-storey shophouse has a gross floor area of around 3,600 sq ft. It is tenanted, with the owner looking to sell the property with the existing tenancy. This would allow the future owner to reap immediate income while acquiring a heritage asset, the marketing agents note.
The shophouse is located within the Little India Conservation Area, opposite Mustafa Centre. It is less than a 10-minute walk from the Jalan Besar (Downtown Line) and Farrer Park (North-East Line) MRT Stations.
The EOI for 76 Syed Alwi Road will close on Aug 31.
