[UPDATED] Hmlet launches heritage properties in Tiong Bahru and Emerald Hill

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Hmlet, one of the largest co-working operators in Singapore, has launched a collection of heritage properties in Tiong Bahru, which adds a total of 80 furnished rooms in Tiong Bahru and 12 in Emerald Hill. The layout of the rooms include studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments to its portfolio. Some of these are walk-up apartments and loft conversions.

The properties in Tiong Bahru occupy 18,000 sq ft in total and are located at Hoot Kiam Road, Zion Road, Tiong Bahru Road, Moh Guan Terrace, Chay Yan Street, Tiong Poh Road and Guan Chuan Street.

Hmlet has several co-living spaces that operate from redeveloped heritage buildings under its wing. Last year, it launched Hmlet Yong Siak, Hmlet Echelon and Hmlet Cantonment. Hmlet Cantonment has enjoyed 90% occupancy since its launch in September.

CEO of Hmlet Yoan Kamalski says that these properties will offer greater flexibility and more housing options in close proximity to the CBD. Hmlet aims to “fulfil the needs and wants of people who want both privacy at home and a social life” by transforming under-utilised real estate and managing on behalf of landlords.

Hmlet also maintains strong relationships with global institutional and corporate landlords, and family offices and private landlords to access a broad real estate portfolio. Last July, the company raised US$40 Million in a Series B round led by Burda Principal Investments. Hmlet has come to operate more than 100 spaces in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and Japan since its launch in 2016.

With the addition of the 80 rooms in Tiong Bahru and 12 rooms at Emerald Hill, Hmlet now manages 48 properties in Singapore and 1,000 over rooms. The rooms are available for viewing via virtual tours.
