As ERA’s top senior director of agency, Tracy Teo champions a highly personalised mentorship approach that supports her 200-member team, many of whom are high-performing women. Her leadership philosophy centres on building strong fundamentals, leveraging individual strengths and curating strategies that align with each agent’s personality and capabilities.
Beyond imparting her knowledge on effective sales techniques, Teo also emphasises helping agents develop their own identity and personal brand. By customising her mentorship to expand on each team member’s existing strengths, she gives them the flexibility to create strategies that feel authentic and sustainable over the long term.
Teo ensures every agent operates from their unique selling proposition. By identifying and refining what sets each individual apart, she equips them with clarity, conviction and a roadmap for long-term career growth. “I want my agents to be themselves — they don’t need to be the same as anyone else,” she affirms.

Teo acknowledges that work-life balance in real estate can be challenging, as professional and personal lives often intertwine. As a leader, she encourages agents to integrate work into their lifestyle in a way that feels enjoyable and supported.
Her mentorship also extends to planning around life milestones. In one instance, an agent with a child preparing for PSLE worked with Teo to front-load her commitments, allowing her to step back and be fully present for her family during a critical period.
“This is why our reviews are in-depth and not just about numbers,” Teo notes. “When the inner part is taken care of, the mind is at peace. That’s when people reach their fullest potential — financially and otherwise.”
Teo believes female leaders often bring greater patience and emotional awareness to mentorship, enabling more thoughtful and personalised guidance. Her leadership style is frequently described as genuine and caring — qualities that contribute to both team success and satisfaction.
