Sengkang has experienced rapid development since its early days as a fishing village. It is now a satellite residential town with a well-developed LRT system offering access to different parts of Sengkang. Sengkang also offers a wide array of work and play amenities, with the main shopping mall Compass One being Singapore's first thematic shopping centre based on the theme of learning.

The North-East Region is the second largest and most densely populated of the five regions in Singapore, with Sengkang being its most populous town. Spanning 13,810ha, the North-East Region is mainly a residential region and housing estate largely comprised of HDB flats. In addition to a myriad of amenities including hospitals, parks, schools and transport options, the region is also home to a few tourist attractions such as Pulau Ubin and Coney Island. Seletar Aerospace Park, which comprises of several aviation manufacturing and research facilities by companies such Rolls-Royce and Singapore Technologies Aerospace, provide employment opportunities to residents both within and beyond the region. Sengkang General Hospital, a 1000-bed hospital, is the largest in the region and is built to further the government's efforts to provide quality and accessible healthcare to all Singaporeans.

"Love the natural landscape surrounding the development, walking down the property like walking down a garden park. Each unit is quite different from the other. Layout of each unit is relatively privately separated from the other. "

"Very undervalued condo. Among the condos nearby, it is the nearest to the upcoming Serangoon North MRT and yet the cheapest at about 1200psf. It is also the least dense development as it is low rise. Affinity at Serangoon and Garden Residences are new developments but super overpriced at above 1600psf, not to mention the high density and small land. They are also twice as far to the MRT. Further down is Florence Residences which is even worse. Not near any MRT at all. At least 12 mins walk to Kovan MRT with no shelter"
