Luxury hospitality company Aman Group has appointed Victor Clavell as COO. Clavell joins Aman from Hong Kong-based Urban Resort Concepts, where he was CEO and oversaw the expansion of The PuLi Group’s hospitality, residential and retail businesses.

Before that, he was senior vice-president and managing director for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean at Rosewood Hotel Group. His career spans more than three decades and includes roles at The Ritz-Carlton, Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, Edition and W Hotels.

In his new role, Clavell will oversee Aman’s global operations, including its Janu hotel brand, properties and other business units. He will also support the group’s expansion across its hotels, resorts, branded residences and lifestyle businesses.

Founded in 1988, Aman operates 35 hotels, resorts and branded residences across 20 destinations — including its sister brand, Janu.

“As Aman Group grows across new brands and business verticals, my focus will be on ensuring operational excellence while supporting the thoughtful, strategic development that builds on the brand’s remarkable legacy,” says Clavell.

Chairman and CEO of Aman Group, Vlad Doronin says Clavell’s experience managing hospitality businesses across multiple markets will support the group’s continued growth. “Victor’s global expertise, operational discipline, and deep understanding of luxury hospitality make him an exceptional addition to Aman Group’s leadership team,” he adds.
