Core Collective opens third facility at i12 Katong, branches into medical coworking space

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Core Collective, Aurum Land’s co-working platform for fitness and wellness practitioners, has opened its newest facility at i12 Katong. The 7,000 sq ft space is the platform’s third location, joining its two existing outlets at Anson Road and Dempsey Hill.

The space includes 10 treatment and consultation rooms, a gym and functional training area, a physical rehab area, and an occupational therapy room, among other facilities.

In addition to the new facility, Core Collective has announced the launch of Core Clinic, a medical coworking platform targeting specialist healthcare practitioners. The platform is a joint venture between Aurum and Singapore-listed private specialist healthcare provider Singapore Medical Group (SMG).

Michelle Yong, CEO of Aurum Land and CEO & founder of Core Collective, says the expansion into the medical co-working space is in line with its focus to build supportive environments that create change, advance communities, and accelerate growth.

Dr. Beng Teck Liang, executive director and CEO of SMG, says the medical co-working concept will disrupt the healthcare landscape and help the group gain closer proximity to potential patients in prime locations. “While unique to Singapore, the idea of co-working spaces for specialist medical practitioners is viable as case studies overseas have demonstrated the success of the business model,” he comments.

As a start, the first Core Clinic outlet will open next month at i12 Katong, adjacent to the Core Collective facility, with three medical suites available. Based on a pay-per-use rental model, doctors who utilise Core Clinic will have access to a medical concierge backed by SMG’s 24-hour call centre.

The Core Collective and Core Clinic facilities at i12 Katong sit on the third floor of the newly refurbished shopping centre, which reopened last December after being closed for renovations since early 2020.
