Palais Renaissance unveils new look and new restaurants with lifestyle offerings

EDGEPROP (SINGAPORE) - Palais Renaissance unveiled a new look on Oct 10, after the completion of $7 million asset enhancement works which commenced last year.

The mall-cum-office, owned and managed by City Developments Ltd (CDL), is home to the Michelin-starred Sushi Kimura, PS.Cafe, Merci Marcel and upscale whisky library The Writing Club.

Newly redesigned mall interiors feature French-inspired design cues and artisanal marquetry, while the new alfresco dining area fronting Orchard Road blends with the streetscape.

Mall enhancements include an expanded main entrance and an alfresco dining area at the ground floor fronting Orchard Road, transforming the area into a bustling streetscape that blends seamlessly with the public and private areas.

“The rejuvenation of Palais has attracted an array of specially curated dining concepts, with 75% exclusive tenants,” says Callie Yah, executive vice president of CDL’s global asset management division.

New dining concepts include Estuary, a seafood restaurant and oyster bar and Ishinomaki Dégustation, an intimate, reservations-only space with curated menus and alcohol pairings. Lifestyle additions include Mutiny, a boutique gym and LuxeHouze, the first-ever physical store for watch collectors and enthusiasts to trade and purchase treasured timepieces.

The office lift lobby and common areas have also undergone a facelift, while the introduction of the CityNexus smart building app will enhance tenants’ daily operations.

“The rejuvenation is part of CDL’s ongoing corporate strategy to enhance the portfolio,” says Sherman Kwek, the Group CEO of CDL. After the asset enhancement initiative, the mall has now achieved full occupancy and positive rental reversion, he adds.
