Perennial Holdings unveiled its various eldercare, medical and hospitality brands within Perennial International Health and Business City Tianjin. It is the company's first healthcare-centric, high-speed railway (HSR) transit-oriented development integrating eldercare, medical and hospitality components.
The brands include Perennial-branded eldercare facilities and Perennial-branded and co-branded medical facilities. Concurrently, Perennial Holdings officially launched its eldercare component, Perennial Eldercare Community, and its rehabilitation centre.
Spanning 3.5 million sq ft and developed at a total investment cost of $1 billion, Perennial Tianjin is in Xiqing District and adjacent to the Tianjin South HSR station, which serves the communities in the Jing-Jin-Ji megalopolis integrating Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei in North China.

Within the Perennial Eldercare Community are three Perennial-branded eldercare facilities with over 1,800 beds to cater to seniors with different care needs. The facilities comprise a 286-bed eldercare home for healthy seniors, a 1,227-bed facility for seniors with assisted daily living needs, and a 299-bed facility for seniors with high care needs.
The medical component of Perennial Tianjin has Perennial-branded and co-branded hospitals with 1,000 beds. The hospitals include the 500-bed general hospital with a co-medical space concept, where doctors and medical groups provide speciality services while enjoying the convenience of shared ancillary services, such as operating theatres, diagnostic imaging equipment and laboratory. There is also a 200-bed rehabilitation hospital.
Facilities include the 300-bed Eber Perennial Brain Hospital, a 40-60 joint venture between Perennial Holdings and Eber Shanghai, one of China's top brain specialist medical groups.
Perennial Holdings has a 49:51 joint venture with Minyoun Hospitality to operate hotels within developments it owns. Minyoun Hospitality is an established hotel operator and manager in China. The joint venture partners will operate four hotels with 960 rooms across multiple brands. Other amenities include over 32,000 sq ft of meeting, incentive, conference and exhibition spaces and four destination dining options.
"The iconic development will allow us to leverage China's excellent HSR transportation network to not only serve the business and leisure travellers within Jing-Jin-Ji, but also create medical tourism for Tianjin," says Pua Seck Guan, executive chairman and CEO of Perennial Holdings.
