Radisson Hotel Group to launch trio of hotels in Sri Lanka, opens new hotel in Vietnam

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Radisson Hotel Group has signed an agreement with hotel management company La Vie Hotels and Resorts and Sino Lanka Group to open three new hotels in Sri Lanka. The group announced that the hotels, which are owned by Sino Lanka, will undergo significant refurbishment before being relaunched under the Radisson and Radisson Blu brands this quarter.

Two of the hotels will be located in Colombo - Radisson Hotel Colombo and Radisson Blu Resort, Galle. Radisson Hotel Colombo is a 158-key upscale sleek city hotel situated along Marine Drive, Colombo’s main coastal strip, in close proximity to key tourism spots. The hotel features a rooftop infinity pool, rooftop bar, as well as international and local dining options.

Radisson Blu Resort, Galle, is a 172-key upper-upscale beachfront resort located along the Indian Ocean shoreline, with sea-view rooms and suites. Amenities include a lagoon pool, kids’ club, fitness centre, spa, rooftop lounge, beachside dining and alfresco event spaces.

Meanwhile, Radisson Hotel Kandy, a 122-key contemporary upscale hotel, will mark the brand’s debut in Kandy, Sri Lanka’s cultural heartland. Located 10 minutes from the city centre, its rooms and suites will have a city, garden or mountain view, alongside amenities such as a gym, rooftop pool, and bar and restaurant overlooking the scenic landscape and Kandy Lake.

Radisson Hotel Group’s current expansion in Asia Pacific is part of its five-year transformation strategy to become one of the world’s leading hotel groups. Two more hotels, Park Inn by Radisson in Colombo and a Radisson Collection resort in Galle, are scheduled to open soon, adding to the brand’s presence in Sri Lanka.

Separately, the group also announced the opening of Radisson Hotel Danang in Vietnam. Located next to My Khe Beach, the hotel features 182 rooms and suites with panoramic views of the city, ocean or peninsula. The opening of the hotel comes just weeks after Vietnam fully reopened its borders to fully vaccinated international travellers. It is Radisson Hotel Group’s fourth property in Vietnam.
