With a land area of 25,500ha, the West Region is the largest of the five regions in Singapore. Jurong East is the regional centre of the region, while Jurong West is the most populous town in the region. Additionally, the Tuas Mega Port, upon completion in the 2040s, is anticipated to be the world's single largest container port with an annual capacity of 65 million TEUs.

"Architecturally and visually stunning landmark in the midst of mundane utilitarian buildings such as forlorn Big Box and Jurong Town Hall, the building beckons. Once there, first-time visitors will see it is another mirage in ulu Jurong - at least gastronomically speaking. Yes, there are more than 13 food outlets within its spanking new walls but the ambiance is decidedly provincial. Tables seating and placements reminds you of the exuberance and cacophony of beach road. The crowd is nationality-biased with their penchant for their native dishes and animated conversations. But the food must be good as the place is chockablock full on a Sunday evening. Yes, you can definitely have plenty of food here...if food in the stomach is what you want"
