"Avalon Night Club Closed for Public Now onwards only for Private parties!!! What is happening to mega nightclub Avalon When it opened on one of the floating crystal pavilions at Marina Bay Sands in 2011, it was touted as one of the big names in the clubbing scene, with its Hollywood branch popular among celebrities. When The New Paper visited Avalon last week, its signage had been replaced by French luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton's. Louis Vuitton is holding its Series 3 Exhibition in Avalon's premises till Dec 23. When TNP contacted Avalon's director, Mr Peter Coney, he said that the nightclub was still in operation, but its premises would be rented out to companies that want to hold events there. He said that this is so that Avalon would not make losses for the remainder of the 10-year lease that it had signed with Marina Bay Sands. Please click like if you feel this review helpful to you. "Suprised it opened on Friday and as of Sunday morning there are no user reviews on the place. Door staff are the best in Singapore. Drinks are a little steep at SGD 20 per beer or shot. Got gypped at the bar when the tender said there were no limes for the corona but another tender managed to find them from somewhere (behind the bar). For 20 sing I like my drinks the way I like them. Acoustics are appalling some adjustments are certainly in order. Dance floor is clean big and the tables aren't overbearing. Staff are very friendly and the night we went (Saturday 17/09) there were more people on the deck smoking than inside dancing. Reckon the acoustics could have more to do with the band than the place but all in all would only go back if there was someone good playing"
