Banyan Tree Global Foundation launches sustainability grants

Laguna Lang Co, an integrated resort based in Vietnam, has helped to develop new sustainability grants backed by its parent company, the Banyan Tree Group. The resort encompasses award-winning hotels Banyan Tree Lang Co and Angsana Lang Co, as well as acclaimed golf course Laguna Golf Lang Co.

The grants are launched by Banyan Tree Global Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of Banyan Tree Group, and will provide up to US$10,000 ($13,371) to six areas that align to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

These areas are biodiversity & conservation; resource use & waste management; climate change & resilience; education & empowerment; health and wellbeing in local communities and the protection and stewardship of culture and livelihoods.

Adam Calver, director of golf and destination marketing at Laguna Lang Co says that the group hopes to extend its support to partners seeking to create sustainable change.

The Greater Good Grants for 2021 will be receiving submissions until Dec 31, which will be reviewed by the board of directors of Banyan Tree Global Foundation and an internal panel of stakeholders. Successful project grantees will be notified by 1Q2021.
