China's Agile Group aims to launch RM12.6 bn projects in Malaysia over next three years

China’s Agile Group is aiming to launch projects in Malaysia with GDV of RM12.6 billion in the next three years.

“To date, we have RM3.4 billion GDV of on-going projects in Malaysia. We are aiming to achieve RM12.6 billion GDV in the next three years. We will carefully plan and roll out more projects in the future. We are also eyeing three landbank acquisitions,” said CEO of Agile Malaysia Chai Keng Wai.
He added that the company is interested in land located at Penang, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
“We are in talks with landowners but [are] not in the final stage yet. Having established our business in Malaysia for four years, we are able to develop project by our own. However, we are open for cooperation opportunities. We won't mind a win-win joint venture opportunity,” he said.
Chai was speaking at the official launch of the developer’s second project in Malaysia, Agile Bukit Bintang, a luxury condominium project that jointly develop with Tropicana Corp Bhd.
Coming up on a 3.76-acre freehold parcel on Jalan Bukit Bintang, the project has a GDV of RM2.2 billion.
It is also the second Malaysia project of Agile Group following by the launch of Agile Mont’Kiara in 2016.
“Agile Group ventured into Malaysia in 2014. By 2016 we introduced our first project, Agile Mont’Kiara. The project has achieved more than 90% sales today. We are confident on our latest launch, Agile Bukit Bintang given to its strategic location,” Chai noted.
Agile Bukit Bintang consists of three 60-storey each towers with a total 1,501 condominium units, 66 small office-versatile office (SoVo) units and 14 commercial lots.
The developers had released 300 residential units in Tower B for exclusive pre-sale and 60% were sold within three weeks.
Tower B consists of 21 SoVo units and 678 residential units.
“Agile Group ventured into Malaysia in 2014. By 2016 we introduced our first project, Agile Mont’Kiara. The project has achieved more than 90% sales today. We are confident on our latest launch, Agile Bukit Bintang given to its strategic location,” Chai noted.
Agile Bukit Bintang consists of three 60-storey each towers with a total 1,501 condominium units, 66 small office-versatile office (SoVo) units and 14 commercial lots.

Tower B consists of 21 SoVo units and 678 residential units.
The built-ups of residential units range from 625 sq ft to 1,157 sq ft with a selling price psf of RM1,750.
“We believe it is a very reasonable price given the strategic location and overseeing golf course and Kuala Lumpur city skyline,” said Agile Group vice president Kayson Yuen.

The facilities include a fitness room, swimming pool, jogging track, leisure area and recreation room.

Meanwhile, the ground floor will be developed into a commercial street.
When asked the launch of the remaining two blocks, Chai said the company is considering a date sometime next year.
“We are looking to launch Tower C a year from now. However, it is also dependent on the sale performance of Tower B. While for Tower A, since it is an independent block (Tower B and C share a facilities podium), we are still thinking of planning something different, maybe a services suite,” said Chai.
