Lisa Chin: Service with financial acumen and heart

Having acquired more than 15 years of experience in the banking sector, Lisa Chin brings a rare combination of financial expertise, strategic thinking and genuine care to her real estate practice.
Before entering real estate, Chin served as a branch manager at OCBC Bank, where she oversaw a team of more than 60 professionals across investment, insurance, teller and safe deposit departments, managing large transaction volumes while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Prior to that, she started her career as a relationship manager with Citibank, where she developed a strong foundation in wealth management and client advisory.
Her years in banking sharpened her ability to anticipate challenges, analyse financial data and its implications, and develop effective solutions quickly.
This equips her to translate complex financial scenarios into practical, easy-to-understand considerations and formulate strategies that help clients make informed property decisions.

“My background in banking has shaped the way I think. I naturally approach situations from a numerical and logical perspective, which helps me identify issues early and find solutions quickly,” she shares.
An alumna of the National University of Singapore who also holds a Master of Science in Wealth Management from Singapore Management University, Chin entered the real estate industry upon the recommendation of a friend from secondary school.
What began as a career transition has since evolved into a passion-driven profession focused on helping clients achieve their property and financial goals.
Her dedication and results have earned industry recognition, including attaining ERA’s Rising Millionaire status and being ranked among its Top 50 Achievers in April 2026.
With her depth of experience in new launches, Chin has also been appointed project IC for Hudson Place Residences, which achieved an impressive 61% take-up rate during its launch weekend in May 2026.
Her approach to asset progression is based on careful analysis and calculated risk-taking, enabling clients to pursue their property goals with confidence and peace of mind.

Helping clients grow their wealth confidently
Drawing on her extensive banking experience, Chin helps clients navigate one of the most critical aspects of property ownership — financial affordability — by working closely with them to establish a comfortable affordability framework that incorporates sufficient financial buffers and long-term security.
On two separate occasions, Chin successfully coordinated highly time-sensitive buy-and-sell arrangements involving multiple parties, facilitating transactions in which buyers purchased condos at launch while concurrently selling their existing properties to other buyers — all within a short time window of approximately 15 minutes to kick-start the paperwork and secure the condo units.
Such achievements required meticulous preparation, clear communication, and careful management of stakeholders’ expectations and financial readiness, says Chin.

“I’ve been asked how I managed to close such deals despite the pressure and logistical challenges,” says Chin. “The answer is preparation and communication. When everyone understands the process and is ready, things can move very smoothly.”
Her philosophy is simple: allow clients to focus on the excitement of securing their next home while she manages the complexities behind the scenes.
By balancing property ownership aspirations with prudent financial planning, she guides clients towards homes that not only meet their immediate needs but also offer potential for future asset growth.
“I always tell my clients, ‘Enjoy the journey of getting your new home. Let me do the work and leave the worrying to me,’” she shares.

Service beyond expectations
Chin’s commitment to service truly sets her apart.
One memorable case involved an elderly widow living alone in a landed property with her beloved dogs. Following her husband's passing, she wished to right-size to a condominium but felt overwhelmed by the practical and emotional challenges involved, including helping her pets adapt to a new living environment.
Recognising her concerns, Chin went beyond the typical scope of a realtor’s responsibilities. She sourced professional trainers to help prepare the dogs for condominium living, coordinated movers, arranged the disposal of unwanted items, and even assisted with setting up utility services in the client’s new home.

“I told her I would treat her like my closest relative and settle everything for her,” Chin recalls. “Sometimes in this job, we really have to assist as much as we can.”
Such experiences have reinforced her belief that real estate is often an emotional journey rather than merely a financial transaction.
“Sometimes when I close a deal with clients, we cry together,” she shares. “There are many emotions involved. Part of my role is to guide them through the process, calm their concerns, solve problems, and assure them that everything will work out.”
Beyond traditional marketing tools, Chin actively leverages social media with tongue-in-cheek and animated content that resonates with popular sentiment to connect with prospective clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
Having forged close ties with her teammates through team-bonding sessions, Chin is now growing her team and is on the lookout for new recruits. She welcomes individuals, including mid-career professionals, who share her passion for helping people achieve their property ownership aspirations.
“As a mother, who also works long hours, I prefer not to sweat the small stuff,” she says. “My job as a realtor allows me to strike a good balance between dedicating my time and resources to work and to the things that matter, such as my family and my faith.”
Reflecting on her own journey, she feels a sense of gratitude for taking the leap from banking into real estate, as well as for the support of ex-colleagues and schoolmates who entrusted the sale of their properties to her when she first started.
Today, she continues to approach every transaction with discipline, resilience and heart, understanding that behind every property purchase lies a family’s hopes, aspirations and future.
