Meyer House redefines standard for luxury living

Nestled within a tranquil neighbourhood in Singapore’s East Coast, Meyer House is designed to redefine the modern standards of luxury. Although the site occupies a freehold site of 109,630 sq ft, joint developers UOL Group and Kheng Leong Co decided to only build 56 exclusive units, allowing residents to enjoy the privacy and luxury of space.

Ready for move-in by 1Q2022, unit types at Meyer House start from three-bedroom apartments of 1,862 to 2,013 sq ft. Four-bedroom units make up the predominant offering, ranging from 2,820 and 3,315 sq ft. There are also six penthouse units of 5,662 to 5,683 sq ft, which are now fully sold.

The decision to build such exclusive units has paid off. To date, Meyer House is more than half sold, and the remaining three-and-four bedroom units are available at prices starting from $5.186 million.

Meyer House offers its residents unparalleled privacy within the development. The development has been touted as Singapore’s first residential development with a dedicated private lift lobby and direct lift access for every residence. Private car park spaces for the four-bedders and penthouse units are located steps away from their respective private lift lobbies, ensuring convenience for homeowners.

Meyer House is a creation of three internationally renowned masters of their craft: Singapore architectural firm Woha Architects; award-winning landscape architect Ramboll Studio Dreiseitl, founded in Germany; and acclaimed interior designer Yabu Pushelberg from Canada. Working together on the development, the appointed craftsmen have created spaces that embrace their natural surroundings, pushing the boundaries of design and innovation.

This can be seen in the interior of the units at Meyer House, which boast handpicked fittings and quality finishes. “The entire space we designed integrates the local vernacular with an appreciation for nature, infused with contemporary comforts and traditional craftsmanship,” describes Pushelberg.

The landscaping and architecture at the development have also been designed to expand on broad views of its surrounding greenery. Each unit has been positioned to enjoy views of the lush internal gardens in Meyer House, and foliage in the adjacent park. This is pulled off by the arrangement of the homes, which are built around a central landscaped courtyard with a swimming pool and water features.

UOL Group highlights that the inclusion of a sprawling landscaped garden and having a good distance between residential blocks are crucial to invoke a lifestyle of seclusion commonly afforded in a landed property.

The terraced gardens within the development have been designed to cascade down a lower water courtyard, bringing about a unique sense of arrival. To that end, even the arrival space at Meyer House has been curated — built on the lower ground level, the lobby is ensconced amidst terraced gardens, pools and walkways.
