Only one B1 site for 1H2015 IGLS

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has put up 14 industrial sites for 2H2015 Industrial Government Land Sales (IGLS) Programme. All but one from the reserve list are zoned for Business 2 (B2) or heavier industrial use.
The confirmed list comprises 10 B2 sites with a tenure of 20 years. Nine of the 10 parcels are smallish sites located along Tampines Industrial Drive and Tuas South Link 2. The move to launch smaller sites with shorter tenure is driven by the government’s intention to cater to the needs of industrialists. The remaining site is located at Tanjong Penjuru. The 1.63ha site has a gross plot ratio (GPR) of 2.5 and can be developed into a multi-user factory.
The latest GLS reflects the government’s objective to reduce the supply of B1 and multi-user factories amidst concerns of supply glut.
