From humble beginnings to becoming a top producer, Sharon Kim, a senior division director with Landed7772, is thankful to the unique team culture that has helped her achieve career success with a strong sense of belonging akin to a family that “works, plays, and closes deals together.”

At the start of her real estate career as an independent agent, Kim felt confident, having been equipped with experience in outdoor and insurance sales. “However, as a solo agent, you are never empowered and it is not enough to be consistent,” she shares.
That changed in 2003 when she joined her boss, mentor, and partner, Teresa Tan, and the Landed7772 team, a move she describes as a "game changer."
“Teresa Tan is my mentor who walks the talk and holds my hand all the way to achieve my financial goals. The love, care, share and encouragement I received at Landed7772 inspired me to stay consistent, work hard, and believe in the process,” she highlights.
Building on the team’s collective expertise, Landed7772 oversees an extensive portfolio of listings that are strategically marketed across multiple platforms to attract strong buyer interest. Everyone in the team plays a distinct role.

Kim’s forte is managing the sale of brand-new landed homes under construction, extending from her experience in the sale of condominiums and landed homes, especially in the northern region.
While most buyers typically prefer to view completed homes before committing to a purchase, Kim skillfully earns clients’ trust with her deep market insights, securing deals before project completion.
They include the sale of three units at Jalan Singa and two units at Princess of Wales (from an empty plot), as well as terrace houses at Jalan Leban — all before the projects were completed.
On a separate occasion, she encountered a walk-in client at an open house in Seletar. Due to his lack of upfront funds, other agents dismissed him while Sharon Kim persisted. “I helped him sell his condo in the East and an HDB rental to unlock the funds. Eventually, he achieved his dream of owning a landed home,” she says.

Finding a sweet spot between work and family

Landed7772’s strong team culture is a proven system that drives success while maintaining a work-life balance. Work still gets done when any team member is temporarily out of action, for instance, during medical sick leave or taking time off during the week to attend to family matters, according to Sharon Kim.
As a mother of two, she is familiar with the demands of family life. She is grateful to have found work-life balance within the Landed7772 team, which provides her with the flexibility to fulfil her roles as a partner, mother, daughter and sibling.
“I manage my time better now, whether it’s spending time with my children and supporting my brother with his health needs, travelling or hiking with my partner, friends or colleagues, while work still gets done,” she shares.

Teamwork that leads to success and career longevity

“As a team leader, I feel an even greater sense of joy when my team closes deals, more than when I close my own,” Kim shares. “That’s the power of leveraging. It allows me to travel or spend quality time with my family, knowing the team is still actively closing deals and managing our listings on my behalf.”
“To earn more, you’ve to be willing to earn less at the beginning. Give, share, and support others first. In return, you’ll gain access to shared listings from the team — and that’s how you’ll start to grow and earn more in the long run,” she adds, citing the words of wisdom from Teresa Tan.
Sharon Kim recently completed the Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP), qualifying her as a certified trainer, which reflects her commitment to lifelong learning and desire to give back to the industry.

Nurturing the next generation

Now a mentor, Sharon Kim is eager to welcome new team members into Landed7772’s 15-week training programme, where team leaders like herself will accompany them on their walks, put up banners, approach house owners and navigate the paperwork for landed property transactions, among other tasks.
Sharon Kim’s advice is simple but powerful: “If you follow instructions, stay consistent, and commit to learning, your career will take flight. At Landed7772, you're never alone. You're part of something bigger.”
