Accor partners Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels to open three new Singapore properties

Global hospitality player Accor has inked an agreement with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels to open two new-build properties that will house three hotels. All three hotels will be open by 2027.

One of the two new properties is located at Hoe Chiang Road. It will house the 808-key Mövenpick Singapore, the largest Mövenpick hotel in the Asia Pacific region. It will also house Mövenpick Living Singapore, a 37-key accommodation targeted at travellers seeking extended stays.

The other property, located at Waterloo Street, will be the location of a new hotel under the Handwritten Collection Brand. The 502-key property is the second in Singapore under the Handwritten Collection brand, following the launch of Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection in late 2023.

“This signing not only demonstrates the robust demand from owners and investors for brands within Accor but also reinforces our commitment to leading the region's growth and redefining the future of hospitality in Asia,” says Garth Simmons, COO of Accor’s premium, midscale and economy division in Asia.

The signings for the three new hotels are the latest in Accor’s long-standing partnership with Fragrance Group and Global Premium Hotels, both of which are owned by Koh Wee Meng, chairman of Fragrance Group.

The partnership currently has a portfolio of 17 hotels in Singapore, five in Australia and three in the UK. The hotels are under brands such as MGallery, Mövenpick, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, ibis Styles and ibis Budget.

“These new properties will allow us to continue curating enriching experiences for our guests and further diversify our hospitality offerings in Singapore,” adds Fragrance Group’s Koh.
