SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - A freehold semi-detached house at Goodman Road in District 15 is on the market for $9.6 million. This translates to approximately $2,247 psf on the land area. According to a press release by the sole marketing agent, Savills Singapore, the property will be offered in an Expression of Interest (EOI) exercise.

“This is a rare opportunity for a buyer to acquire a sizeable freehold residential plot within an affluent district at a palatable quantum. Given the limited supply of these landed plots and the rarity of them coming up for sale, we expect strong demand from owners residing within the enclave,” says Yap Hui Yee, senior director of investment sales & capital markets at Savills Singapore.

The future Tanjong Katong MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast Line will be within walking distance. Highway connectivity around the area is via the East Coast Expressway. Nearby schools in the vicinity include Tanjong Katong Primary School, Tanjong Katong Girls’ School, Chung Cheng High School, and Dunman High School.

The property is within the highly desirable East Coast area. Nearby amenities include East Coast Park, East Coast Lagoon Food Village, East Coast Seafood Centre, Parkway Parade, Kallang Wave Mall and the various shophouses along East Coast Road.

The landed property sits on a 4,271 sq ft site that enjoys a prominent frontage of about 8.5m along Goodman Road. The land is regularly shaped and has a plot depth of about 46m. Under the latest Master Plan, the site is zoned ‘Residential’ and within a two-storey semi-detached estate.

She adds: “Many high-net-worth individuals and families are constantly on the lookout for well-located properties - given the positive outlook of the asset class and desire to purchase properties for wealth preservation and legacy planning.”
