International luxury hotelier InterContinental has launched its first international luxury resort in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, with the opening of InterContinental Halong Bay Resort. The area, renowned for its rich culture, has been twice-recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site, according to an Oct 22 release.
Inspired by the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay, the resort’s architecture is helmed by WATG, while its interiors are designed by P49Deesign. The 275-key development includes a mix of guestrooms, suites, private villas and residences.
The resort offers six dining venues, including Marina Kitchen, La Baguette. Its signature restaurant, Roku & Star Bar, is located on the 10th floor and is expected to open later this year, while Yulong Mansion, a two-storey Cantonese restaurant, is scheduled to open in 2026.

For events and celebrations, the resort features several venues, including the Tonkin Ballroom and Cat Ba Ballroom.
