Pan Pacific Orchard brings luxuriant tropical spectacle to Orchard Road

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Pan Pacific Hotels Group, a member of Mainboard-listed UOL Group, has showcased its flagship hotel Pan Pacific Orchard, Singapore.
Designed by renowned WOHA Architects, the design of the refreshed hotel property features lush, open-air architecture and high-volume, open-air terraces. Situated along Orchard Road, the exterior visual of this building will likely add a green spectacle to the prime shopping belt.
“We deliver a brand-new luxurious experience for discerning travellers and transform the landscape of Singapore’s iconic Orchard Road,” says Marcel NA Holman, general manager of Pan Pacific Orchard and vice president of operations for China, Japan and Indonesia.
There will be four open-air terraces called Forest, Beach, Garden, and Cloud. In total, these green spaces will be filled with more than 78,548 sq ft of foliage, or about 200% of the hotel’s land area. Each guest room will have views of either the green terrace landscape or the surrounding cityscape.
For example, the Forest Terrace envelops the lobby space and brings in verdant greenery and cascading water features. The high-volume space is punctuated by a 120m green column of curling vines and flora that spans the first three floors of the hotel.

For guests checking into a room between the fifth to tenth storeys, Pan Pacific Orchard’s Beach Terrace is designed like a resort escape in the middle of the city. An outdoor pool runs across the fifth floor, which is lined with sandy shores and tropical foliage that mimic a seaside getaway.
The 11th – 16th floors are dominated by the Garden Terrace, an outdoor lawn that stretches under the guest rooms. Lined by private cabanas, the Garden Terrace offers a serene and picturesque space for customised events and relaxation.
At the top, the Cloud Terrace occupies the 18-23 floors. A pillarless ballroom on the 18th floor offers capacity for 420 seats, and the event space is ideal for celebrations with the city’s landscape as a backdrop.
