Perennial launches healthcare city in Chongqing, adjacent to HSR station

Perennial Holdings has launched Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing, a healthcare-centric, integrated transit-oriented development in Chongqing, China. The development, which is majority-owned by Perennial, is being jointly developed with Chongqing Transportation Development and Investment Group and China Railway Construction Corp.
The first phase of the development spans 140,000 sq m and includes the 500-bed Perennial General Hospital, a tertiary general hospital and other specialist hospitals. It is expected to be progressively completed from 2028, with a total investment cost of approximately RMB 1.5 billion ($0.27 billion).
Subsequent phases, measuring over 260,000 sq m, will comprise eldercare, serviced residences, hospitality and commercial components.

“The establishment of Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing, strategically located adjacent to the largest and national-level HSR station in the country, is a fruition of the strong relationship between the governments of Singapore and Chongqing,” says Pua Seck Guan, executive chairman and CEO of Perennial Holdings.
The launch for Perennial Healthcare City Chongqing coincides with the 10th anniversary of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, and comes as part of the 35th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Singapore and China.
