PropNex to provide free health screening to its 12,318 property agents

PropNex Realty will be the first local real estate agency to provide free comprehensive health screening for five years to its force of 12,318 property agents and close to 200 full-time staff.

This was announced at the PropNex Annual Convention on March 13. Low Yen Ling, Minister of State, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, was the guest of honour.

This large-scale comprehensive health screening is part of an initiative called the Precision Community Screening (PCS) program by Let’s Get Healthy, a social enterprise focused on strengthening community healthcare. The screening tests will be partly sponsored by Mirxes, a homegrown RNA technology and early cancer detection company.

PropNex agents will receive health screenings covering early detection for Singapore's top three chronic diseases: diabetes, cholesterol, and blood pressure, along with screenings for five cancer types, including colon, stomach, liver, ovarian, and prostate.

“Our partnership with Let’s Get Healthy and Mirxes reflects our collective commitment to proactive health. This is especially important to self-employed individuals such as property agents,” says PropNex CEO Ismail Gafoor.

Low says it was “heartening” to see PropNex invest in its staff, adding, “This commitment reflects the high corporate standards that the Singapore government seeks to foster among our local companies.”

At the event, PropNex also announced its expansion into Thailand. This will be its sixth expansion outside of Singapore after Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Australia. Lynette Ping, CEO of PropNex Thailand, will head the branch in Thailand. The new Thai office currently has 500 salespersons and will mainly focus on new and resale residential projects.
