The Real Estate Developers’ Association of Singapore (REDAS) has unveiled a new logo in celebration of its 66th anniversary. The refreshed design features three dialogue boxes representing the association’s partnership with the government, industry and the larger community, says Tan Swee Yiow, president of REDAS, during his welcome address at the anniversary dinner on Nov 13.
“Our tagline ‘Transforming Spaces, Building Futures’ captures our shared aspiration to continue building a sustainable, inclusive and forward-looking city together,” adds Tan.
The event, which was held at Shangri-La Singapore, was attended by Minister for National Development Chee Hong Tat, who officiated the launch as guest of honour.

“Over the past 66 years, REDAS has been an invaluable partner in Singapore's nation-building journey,” says Chee.
Founded six years before Singapore gained independence in 1959, REDAS was initially established as the Singapore Land and Housing Developers' Association, aimed at raising industry standards and supporting nation-building. Since then, the association has partnered with the government to guide housing policies, elevate professional standards, and support sustainable development.
“Real estate is no longer just about housing; it shapes where we live, work and connect,” says Tan. “Beyond Singapore, our members have also expanded their footprint globally, from fund management and REITs to township, industrial park and healthcare developments, contributing to knowledge exchange and regional growth.”
According to Tan, the real estate industry currently contributes nearly $102 billion to Singapore’s GDP and provides over 620,000 jobs.
In conjunction with SG60, REDAS also announced its pledge of $60,000 to the President’s Challenge. “This contribution reflects REDAS’ shared responsibility in supporting Singapore’s social causes and collective growth,” Tan adds.
