Tekka Place, a redevelopment of the former The Verge shopping mall in Little India, is set to open in late 2019. The integrated mall is developed by Singapore-listed construction and property development company, Lum Chang Holdings, and a fund managed by LaSalle Investment Management Asia.
The new development will comprise a 10-storey main block and a seven-storey annex block with rooftop deck. Citadines Rochor, a 320-unit serviced residence featuring studio and one-bedroom units, will occupy the third to tenth floors of the main block. Facilities include a residents’ lounge, gym, laundrette, and swimming pool.

Tekka Place is at the junction of Serangoon and Sungei Roads, and is within walking distance to two MRT stations – the Rochor station on the Downtown Line, and the Little India interchange on the North East and Downtown Lines.
Its developers are engaged with Singapore Tourism Board, and community stakeholders like the Indian Heritage Centre and LaSalle College of the Arts, to maintain the area’s vibrant community. Tekka Place will host exhibitions, artworks, and performances at dedicated spaces on the rooftop deck.
