Global asset manager and operator Keppel has announced the appointment of Anne Helen Richards as an independent director to the board with effect from July 1. She will also be appointed as a member of the Board Risk Committee.
Currently, Richards serves as a senior adviser at Fidelity International, a global investment management firm. She was the company’s CEO from 2018 to 2024, before being appointed as vice-chairwoman from 2024 to 2026.
During her time at Fidelity International, Richards navigated the firm through the Covid-19 pandemic to garner record sales and profits. She also led the development of its private asset business and strengthened sustainability investment capabilities across asset classes.

Prior to Fidelity International, Richards was the chief executive of global asset manager M&G Investments. And before that, the chief investment officer at Aberdeen Asset Management.
Richards’ other directorships include her role as the chairwoman of Coutts, a private bank and wealth manager, and a non-executive director at Land Securities, a UK-listed real estate company.
“Her appointment reflects our commitment to a well-balanced and diverse board with the right mix of skills and experience to accelerate Keppel’s growth as a global asset manager and operator,” says Piyush Gupta, chairman of Keppel.
Following Richard’s appointment, Keppel’s board will comprise nine directors, eight of whom are independent.
